Ilhabela, Villa 18

Perched on a cliff at the beginning of the south side of Ilhabela, near Ilha das Cabras, Villa 18 is a house designed down to the smallest detail to make the most of the privilege of spending a season in a destination surrounded by the sea. After all, from sunny mornings to star-filled nights, the view is stunning.

And to enjoy it, there’s no shortage of rooms full of bossa and luminosity. First, there’s the large, airy living room, fully integrated with the kitchen. Then there’s a living area with a swimming pool and sauna, all lulled by the breeze.

Further down, a delightful deck and pier serve as a base for days spent in total peace and quiet. It’s worth spending hours and hours leisurely between SUP rides, relaxing on the nautical mat or diving at sunset. When night falls, how about celebrating the season with your loved ones over a drink by the open fire?

What’s more, it’s possible to arrange a direct boat transfer from São Sebastião, thus avoiding any ferry traffic.

Iporanga, Villa 12

Having the sea as a constant companion – and keeping a close eye on all its changes – is one of the reasons why Villa 12 is such a special refuge. Day after day, it frames the scenery of this house built on top of a hill on Iporanga beach, one of the most exclusive condominiums on the São Paulo coast, precisely to make the most of outdoor moments.

Here, the days pass unhurriedly between dips in the pool, naps in the hammock and delicious drinks swaying in the breeze. With spacious suites, villa 12 has everything you need for a season in the shade.

Laranjeiras, Villa 13

Starting with its location on the golf course of the Laranjeiras condominium – one of the most exclusive in all of Brazil – Villa 13 is one of the special finds in our portfolio.

Facing the greens, the refuge-like property conveys that feeling of spaciousness that is so welcome when the idea is to get away from it all.

From the design to the Bossa decor, every detail has been inspired by Bali. Hence the thatched roof with high ceilings, the bridge that connects the lawn to the veranda, the panneaux scattered in every corner, and the indirect lighting that makes everything cozier.

Compact, Villa 13 is a house designed to bring the family together in total tranquility, whether it’s for leisurely breakfasts overlooking the flowers in the garden, or afternoons by the pool.

To top it all off, the condominium is a chapter in itself: super secure, nestled in the middle of the Atlantic Forest mountains, with its own private paradise beaches. The structure also includes a golf course, a club with a full gym, a marina for boats and a playroom.

Paraty Villa 11

You only need a few minutes in Villa 11 before you realise why the owners of this house fell in love with Paraty back in the 1960s.

The villa has three suites and is located 10 minutes by boat from Paraty’s historic centre.  It is surrounded by lush Atlantic rainforest and a magical garden, with an abundance of native trees and tropical flowers.  There are two hiking trails within the property which take in the ruins of an imperial fort with its original canons and a 360 degree view of the bay of Paraty.

The villa’s landlord owns the well known Pousada do Sandi in Paraty’s historical centre.  The internal décor is tasteful and stylish with floor to ceiling windows which show off the spectacular tropical rainforest and emerald green sea.

Should you wish to visit some of the many tropical islands in the area or gather mussels at the mussel farm in Pouso da Cajaiba, there are two speedboats available to hire.

Paraty Villa 14

Villa 14 is a mere 10 minutes by boat from Paraty’s historic centre.  It is located on its own private beach and surrounded by lush Atlantic rainforest gardens with stunning views out to the bay of Paraty.  The villa is Portuguese colonial in style and tastefully blends modern furniture with antique art.

The villa oozes charm and is an idyllic hideaway from which to immerse yourself in nature.  The views out to the bay of Paraty and the surrounding rainforest are simply stunning and if you are feeling active you can swim in the emerald green sea or simply take a walk through the rainforest.

Paraty Villa 15

Those who walk past the entrance to Villa 15, will have no idea what a beautiful oasis awaits them beyond the simple blue and white façade. From the outside, the villa´s size is deceptive as you would not imagine it occupies a large part of a block of the historic center of Paraty. It has a sauna and a pool (a rarity in Paraty houses), making it the ideal place to enjoy a rest after a day of sightseeing or simply a lazy day at home.

You can also hire the villa´s very own schooner (at an extra cost) to explore the beautiful islands, bays and beaches around Paraty´s bay. When out on the boat, we suggest you use the villa´s beach facilities on Cotia island.

Paraty, Villa 11+14

If you wish to bring a group of friends to a stunning location in a beautiful house, we suggest combining Villa 11 and 14.

One side of the property has a overlooking the beautiful bay and the other side of the property has a gorgeous colonial style farmhouse with tasteful interiors boasting gorgeous Brazilian art and furniture.

Access to the villas can only be made by boat across the beautiful emerald green waters of Paraty´s bay. Once at this paradise location, we suggest you enjoy everything it has to offer, from lazy days on the beach to walks through the villa´s stunning tropical gardens (which boast the ruins of an Imperial Portuguese fort), as well as making use of the sauna. Pizza nights and barbecues in the outdoor eating area are a must.

Serra da Mantiqueira, Villa 18

Villa 18 is located near São Bento do Sapucaí and is 40 minutes from Campos do Jordão. It is the perfect place from which to enjoy a unique experience in the Brazilian mountains.

The design of this house resembles a converted barn which has been clad in steel and surrounded by glass. This special contemporary design was masterminded by Marcio Kogan. The interior décor has a myriad of homely details which makes this a very cosy retreat surrounded by green hills.

In addition, the house is set in a large magical garden, with buttercups, hydrangeas, bromeliads and other flowers typical of the region.

Serra Fluminense Villa 08

One of the things that makes villa 8 so special is its location in the mountains near Rio. However, what really makes this such a special place is its history, which dates back to 1850 when it was built as the Main house on a coffee plantation.

Recently, the singer Lenny Kravitz fell in love with the house. He was on a music tour of Brazil and instead of spending one night at the house he ended up spending six months there, subsequently buying it and then restoring it to its former glory.

There are a number of historical ruins in the garden and inside Lenny has used his love for design to create a contemporary look which is full of character. There are pieces of art and furniture which remind you of Brazilian architects Sergio Rodrigues and Oscar Niemeyer as well as rare pieces of furniture such as a chair which belonged to Andy Warhol and Ingmar Bergman´s piano.

Villa 8 has everything you need to immerse in nature while surrounded by total peace and quiet. A highlight of the property is its vegetable garden which provides fresh vegetables for the duration of your stay.

As Lenny Karvitz said in an interview to Architectural Digest; “it is a place from which to disconnect and re-think life”.
