Santo André Villa 02

Spending a season on the beach in Santo André is special, but imagine spending it in a gorgeous villa on the banks of the river, waking up in the mornings and plunging into the river, having lunch while listening to the gentle ripples of the water and ending the day with a waterside cocktail with a soft breeze to cool you down.

This is the ideal place for those seeking an unpretentious relaxed holiday with family or good friends. It is a homely villa with a fantastic outdoor area with bedrooms located in the main house but also in two external chalets which adds to the feeling of total privacy. One of the chalets is located next to the river.

Serra Fluminense Villa 08

One of the things that makes villa 8 so special is its location in the mountains near Rio. However, what really makes this such a special place is its history, which dates back to 1850 when it was built as the Main house on a coffee plantation.

Recently, the singer Lenny Kravitz fell in love with the house. He was on a music tour of Brazil and instead of spending one night at the house he ended up spending six months there, subsequently buying it and then restoring it to its former glory.

There are a number of historical ruins in the garden and inside Lenny has used his love for design to create a contemporary look which is full of character. There are pieces of art and furniture which remind you of Brazilian architects Sergio Rodrigues and Oscar Niemeyer as well as rare pieces of furniture such as a chair which belonged to Andy Warhol and Ingmar Bergman´s piano.

Villa 8 has everything you need to immerse in nature while surrounded by total peace and quiet. A highlight of the property is its vegetable garden which provides fresh vegetables for the duration of your stay.

As Lenny Karvitz said in an interview to Architectural Digest; “it is a place from which to disconnect and re-think life”.

Serra Fluminense, Villa 10

Villa 10 takes you back in time to Brazil´s 19th century colonial past. This grand mansion is located on a farm which was an important sugar and coffee plantation from the 1800s onwards. The property also has the second most important historical sugar mill in Brazil. Nowadays the farm breeds Mangalarga Marchador horses.

Every detail of this house is impressive and it is one of the most extraordinary rural properties in Brazil. It has been impeccably renovated both externally and internally and decorated tastefully with period furniture, carpets, rare porcelain objects and other period pieces.

There are a range of activities which match the relaxed nature of this farm: pool, hot tub, sauna, barbecue area, games room, and a cosy sitting room with a fireplace. There is of course the option to go horse riding. This is a great way to explore the area which is surrounded by lush green vegetation so typical of the Paty do Alferes carioca region.

Serra Grande, Villa 01

There is no way to arrive at the Serra Grande house, a novelty in our collection, and not feel good when crossing the gate of this refuge right on the sand in a unique region of Bahia, the feeling is of being inside a protected, half-secret, totally magical place.

Inside, you will find a sanctuary woven into the area’s wild beauty. Constructed entirely from bamboo and reclaimed wood, Villa 1 is spread across a large property connected by a charming walkway. This path leads you to five private bungalows and a thatched-roof oca, which is at the heart of the property. Here, you can unwind in a cosy, inviting atmosphere, perfect for lingering conversations, sipping pre-dinner drinks, or enjoying a game of cards with friends.

In front of the communal area, a large deck boasts a pool with breathtaking sea views, creating an idyllic setting to escape the outside world. A short stroll leads you to the beach, where a hidden viewpoint awaits, complete with sun loungers and an outdoor shower—ideal for stargazing under the vast night sky. The villa’s prime location on a secluded beach ensures absolute privacy.

Another highlight of this refuge is the space called Capelinha, which offers a range of health and wellness experiences, from invigorating yoga sessions to fitness training. Always smiling and attentive, the exceptional staff enhance your stay by preparing delicious meals, from freshly baked breakfast breads to beautifully presented paellas for lunch.

For those adventurous enough to leave this paradise, a wealth of activities await. Explore the surrounding forests, take a boat trip to an enchanting lagoon, or take a refreshing dip in nearby waterfalls. You can also wander through the charming village of Serra Grande, with its laid-back, bohemian vibe and timeless allure.

This villa is located on Itapororoca beach which is hidden away from Trancoso´s busy Quadrado (central square), making it a perfect peaceful haven. The sea is calm – ideal for leisurely tropical beach walks.

The villa was designed by David Bastos (a renowned Brazilian architect). One of its most striking features is its pool which curves around the main living areas of the villa.  It is around this pool that you will start the day with a delicious Bahian breakfast.

The villa is designed to connect with nature with its large doors and glass windows which open on to a lush tropical garden. Its location next to the sea ensures the house and gardens are freshened by the gentle sea breeze. The villa´s sophisticated beach like décor consists of shades of white interspersed with colour and locally crafted art objects.

This is the ideal property for gathering a group of friends.  It has 7 en suite bedrooms – three of these are stand-alone bungalows for those who like total privacy.  It also has a spacious drawing room and a separate TV room.

Trancoso Villa 11

We are not exaggerating when we say that this is one of the most special villas in our portfolio…and arguably in the whole of Trancoso. It is located on Itapororoca beach and is a real oasis surrounded by lush green rainforest, with beautiful architecture and art.

Architect, Marcio Kogan from MK27 designed the villa on a raised wooden deck, with straight, simple lines throughout, with the purpose of highlighting the exuberance of the surrounding countryside. Every corner of this house is beautiful.

From the four en-suite bedrooms to the gym, to the clever use of natural light throughout the house, everything harmonizes beautifully with an impressive art collection and furniture made out of braúna wood.

The gardens which lead to the sea were designed by Isabel Duprat who used different shades of green throughout the garden. The gardens come to life at night with the clever use of lighting designed by Airton Pimenta.

The villa´s staff are always on hand and can prepare healthy food menus. This really is a place from which to escape and reconnect with nature.
